Summit
Live for the challenge
Overview
At the start of 2014, the team in London was tasked with creating a consumer application that would take the company forward and announce us to the digital world as a quality application production company.
The Problem
We began by looking at recent trends within the market. During 2014 the Ice Bucket Challenge had really taken off in support of ALS and we realised there was a niche for a well-developed and highly social app that users could use to challenge their friends on Facebook or Google. We would also be able to offer affliliates the opportunity run their own challenges and take an income from doing so.
Research
As was usual at Innocellence, first of all, we started with user interviews. Being a B2C product we knew we would have potential users in our immediate social circles and began interviewing friends and friends of friends who we deemed to be most likely to be early adopters. They broadly fell into the groups of "active", "outdoorsy" and "socially active online".
Using the feedback we got from these cohorts, we began to put together wireframes and user flows to ascertain how users might flow through the application and how we could onboard them.
