Overview

A Fortune 500 company came to us with an understandable business problem for an organization with over 85,000 employees; they wanted to make it easier for all their workers to find out what promotions or transfers they could take from their current positions. The solution was to create a dynamic 'map' of all the roles with the system, which automatically told users what position they were working in upon login. Users could then view three career progression paths - in-family, cross-family, and cross-department. These carefully thought-out data structures allowed the system to be as simple as possible while encapsulating the organization's prodigious and complex structure.
